September 1st from Kathi Neiderman: Amanda is now at St. Charles in Port Jefferson. She was diagnosed with major head injury by the head injury specialist. She still cannot walk, although they cannot figure out why not. Visiting hours are 12 - 8pm. We are praising God for His faithfulness in healing her. She will be in the Rehab at least for 3-1/2 more weeks then hopefully home. She will get home schooling for a month then P/T to school. Hopefully by Christmas, she will return full time. My biggest THANK YOU and LOVE to ALL that were there for her as the as the horse threw her and throughout the Albany hospital stay and continuance of asking and praying for her. I just want you all to know 2 things. 1) God had a purpose of me staying in Albany, a suicidal woman I met in the hospital received Jesus less then 12 hours before Amanda's discharge was final! I still cry when I think of my divine appointment!! I guess I have some appointments at St. Charles also. 2) The motorcyclist never knew he was the cause of this tragedy! How many times do we not see the tragedy we leave behind because of our choices and actions??? Think about it, I know I have been thinking about it a lot. I pray that we as Christians continue to do God's will as HE sees fit and directs us in all our paths! GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!!!!!!!!!!! In Christ Forever!! August 27th from Kurt & Sue: Martha Howe, from the God's Armor Bearer's chapter (who was involved in a serious motorcycle accident while on a women's ride in VT) is finally on the mend for real now! There was injury to her liver, fluid was collecting in her lung (her surgeon removed 2 liters!), and rib fractures, to name a few things...but praise God, the healing is happening, she's feeling much better, and she'll be able to return to work after Labor Day!
